NARN Board on Syria/Turkey Earthquake

Those of us at NARN are deeply saddened by the death and destruction in Turkey (Turkiye) and Syria that have resulted from the powerful recent earthquake. The death toll has passed 20,000 and counting human animals, and we have no doubt that non-human animals are suffering and have been killed by the thousands as well. Countless beings are having difficulty accessing food and electricity.  The scope of this disaster is almost unimaginable.  

Additionally, NARN condemns the opportunistic bombing of Syrian civilians by the Assad regime shortly after the earthquake hit the region. Our hearts go out to the Syrian refugees in Turkey who are now suffering from this earthquake in addition to their displacement due in part to the Assad regime.
