WDFW Commission Meeting – IN SEATTLE!
The WDFW Commissioners have expressed that they love meeting the public face-to-face during their Commission meetings. They will host their monthly meeting in NARN’s backyard this June. Show up with us, lend your voice to wildlife, and forge important connections.
This is a prime opportunity to provide in person testimony on the Conservation Policy draft (https://wdfw.wa.gov/…/conservation-policy-draft-15…) and on the dept’s recommendation to downgrade Wolves from “endangered” to “sensitive,” skipping “threatened.” See also the newly released draft periodic status review for Gray Wolves, on which the dept. is also seeking public comment. https://wdfw.wa.gov/…/wdfw-seeks-public-comment-draft…
Public testimony for the Conservation Policy will begin at 3:55 pm on Thursday. If you are unable to attend Thursday, there will be open public testimony on Friday at 8 am, where you may speak on the policy. You do not have to preregister if testifying in person.
Location will be at the Residence Inn by Marriott Seattle Downtown/Lake Union, in the Port Townsend meeting room.
Virtual participation is encouraged for those who do not live in the Seattle area. Register for public testimony here https://wdfw.wa.gov/…/meetings/2023/22-23jun2023-agenda
