Lunch for Wildlife Advocates and Allies in Olympia
Attending the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife commission meeting in Olympia? Are you an animal/wildlife advocate who lives in the Olympia area? Come out and join other advocates for a lunch social at Cascadia Grill! A vegan menu is available and appetizers and a round of drinks will be provided.
Join us on August 9th, starting at 12pm. We plan to attend the WDFW commission meeting, which starts at 8am, break for the lunch social at 12pm, and then return to the meeting.
We highly encourage advocates to attend the meeting and provide testimony thanking the commission for its recent decision to protect Cougars and to keep Wolves listed as endangered. We need to counter angry voices that will inevitably show up at the meeting. A message of support to commissioners is just as important as a request for action in order to keep the momentum going.
If you are interested in providing testimony and want to receive more information on how to sign up and testify, please contact hannah@narn.org. Links to sign up for the meeting will be posted here once they have been released by WDFW.
While we highly encourage attending the WDFW commission meeting, this lunch social is open to all wildlife advocates regardless of meeting attendance. Please RSVP so we have a rough estimate on how many people will attend. See you there!
