How to Support Wildlife As An Animal Advocate
This event is open to all who are interested in learning more about how to protect and conserve Wolves, Cougars, Beavers, Salmon, and other wildlife in Washington state.
Animal advocates care deeply and passionately for animals, especially animals found on farms (Pigs, Cows, Chickens, etc…), animals found in labs (Monkeys, Rats, Cats, etc…), and companion animals (Dogs, Cats, Birds, etc…). A majority of our movement’s work covers these animals. But did you know that animals who are wild also need our support?
Animals who are wild are overhunted, killed to protect the animal agricultural industry, poached, and demonized in Washington. We are seeing some really outrageous practices that harm animals coming out of the agency tasked with their conservation – the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife.
This webinar will:
– Demonstrate why advocates must also focus their efforts on animals who are traditionally considered “wild,”
– show how wild animals tie into animal agriculture,
– provide a clear overview on some of the most pressing issues wild animals face,
– give concrete, immediate actions you can do to help.
You will hear from NARN’s own Director of Advocacy, Hannah Thompson-Garner, and Washington Wildlife First’s President, Claire Davis.
